Ken Mehlman - A predictor of the campaign directions and the Master of the Talking Point

I know a lot of you are saying Duh, Herder! Mehlman is the Chairman of the Republican National Committee, of course he will show the direction of the campaigns.
You're correct, but Mehlman does it earlier.
I remember watching him on one of the pundit shows last year, appearing to begrudgingly admit how great a job Hillary Clinton was doing as a Senator and how tough an opponent she would be in a Presidential bid. The big deal was that Mehlman brought her name up! The begrudging tone of his voice and his words did not match the expression on his face and in his eyes. He and other Republicans talk Hillary up, knowing they can give her a good thrashing on election day. You can bet that if they could, they would vote for Hillary in the primary.
Ken Mehlman is probably a nice guy, but there is something about him that grates on me. Probably the whole talking points thing, and you know how I feel about that.
Because Mehlman is a master of the talking point. Watch the following clip and count the number of talking points he uses (Hint: He usually emphasizes these by pointing with his thumb)
During this interview Mehlman moved away from the "Stay the Course" BS we have heard forever and has now moved on to a new phrase "Adapt and Change". If the numbers were good from this, you can bet we will be hearing it a lot in the future. To me, that phrase sounded kind of flat and I suspect it will go by the wayside, like the other trial balloons they float and discard.
And I guess that's what really bothers me about him and most of the politicos (Republicans and Democrats)around right now. They are committed to a party line, with no real regard for where it is taking the country and no real belief in the rightness or wrongness of what they are saying.
