Are you ready for some Iraq spin?

Apparently someone has finally broken through the Bush bubble and shared the secret information kept hidden so long.
The American public doesn't like what's happening in Iraq and it may, I said may, hurt the Republican chances to retain control of the House and the Senate in the fall.
The speeches by Rumsfeld and Bush over the last couple of weeks have given a hint that change is in the wind. Something big is about to happen.
Have we managed to find Osama and he actually was in Iraq?
No.
WMDs? The fabled WMDs? Did we find a cache of them?
No.
We have announced a timetable to bring our troops home?
Yeah, right.
Instead the big news and change is that we aren't going to use Stay the Course any more. What we (the Republicans) are going to do is come up with a new series of talking points so that maybe, just maybe the public will buy a new truckload of chicken s**t just because we call it chicken salad.
There will be no more talk of the progress we are making and how well things are going. Instead, we (the American public) will be told how leaving Iraq will mean the end of the world as we know it, and if we do so Hitler will rise again.
Shhh, don't ask how or why, don't look behind that curtain, just listen and sip your Kool-Aid.
And the worst thing is, if history is any indication, the American public will buy into this crap. The blogosphere needs to be smoking on this issue liberal, centrist, and conservatives.
Don't let the politicians, Democrats or Republicans, redefine the issues any more.
Address them, solve the, ignore them, but don't spin them.
We deserve better than that.
